Problems with Shift block

Post by AlexSaevar » Wed Apr 17, 2019 6:40 am

Hi!
I need help with figuring out why there is an 8 hour production stop according to the plotter?

It happens after two 8 hour shifts with 2 operators. When the single operator is supposed to step in the whole line stops.

I have a theory that this happens because of the one piece flow in the system. I have set priority on all manual workstations but if the number of workers goes to 1 at the wrong time, the worker might get stuck upstream.

That's my only theory on the problem. I will attach a bunch of pictures showing the problem

One without the shifts, to show that it runs.
One with the shifts like I tried at first. 8 hours morning, 8 hours afternoon and 8 hours night.
Then I will show what I'm thinking, clearing the system after each shift so the single worker will start on the downstream process so he can't get stuck. Using the method the model behaves a bit better so this might be the reason. But there must be a better solution to the problem?

Some pictures did not attach! These show the solution I'm trying to implement now.
