FREE ExtendSim Jam Sessions!

A Jam Session is a ground-breaking simulation experience that will advance your simulation skills and model development abilities.

Each Jam Session will consist of a 2 to 3 hour face to face training session on a specific topic. Jam Sessions are conveniently scheduled at the end of the final day of most ExtendSim Essential Training+Modeling Techniques courses (so it's an extra bonus for training participants) and at other times throughout the year.

Each Jam Session is open to anyone who wants to attend (no prerequisites!) -- aimed at model developers and model users interested in the topic of the Jam. We really want to bring out the local crowd at these Jam Sessions so it will be an informal and great way to meet other ExtendSim users in your area!

We plan to mix up the Jam Sessions from time to time offering new sessions and repeating some sessions. Jam Sessions will be held in different US cities and sometimes will return to a city that had a Jam Session before. However, we promise we won’t cover the same topic twice in the same city.

Scenario Manager Jam

This 2 hour ExtendSim Jam Session covers the basics of the Scenario Manager. Plus, we'll delve into some of the more complex situations where the Scenario Manager can be very useful.

The Scenario Manager configures and runs multiple simulation model configurations or scenarios. The results of each scenario can be compared to evaluate the performance of the system with varying inputs. Scenarios can be generated automatically or by manually entering each set of inputs. Once a set of scenarios has been created, each scenario is run multiple times and the results from each simulation run recorded. The scenario table calculates summary statistics for each result variable.

In this ExtendSim Jam Session, you will learn how to:

	Set up parameters as model factors
	Set up DB Records and DB Fields as model factors
	Set up model responses
	Create and run a full factor experiment
	Create a JMP Custom DOE, import, and run in ExtendSim
	Export the results to the ExtendSim Database and Excel

A limited number of computers will be available so bring your own laptop if you can.

Prerequisites: Nothing. Just an interest in learning more about the ExtendSim Scenario Manager and mingling with other local modelers.
