Single user licenses for Education are exactly the same as the Enterprise/Government package, just offered to educators at a discounted price since they will be used for instructional purposes.

These licenses are designed to be utilized by a single user on a single computer. The user is granted the right to also install ExtendSim on a portable or home computer, provided the computers are not used simultaneously.

The single user license includes:

		One set of manuals for each license.
		Access to technical support is provided to all registered users at no charge for the first 60 days after purchase. Upgrades to new versions are fee-based.

		To order/download a single user ExtendSim license through the ExtendSim Store, email your Intent of Use Letter to sales@extendsim.com. We will return a code you can use in the Store that will give you a discount for your academic unit.

A network license of ExtendSim allows a specified number of simultaneous ExtendSim users in a network environment to access the full version of ExtendSim Suite for instructional purposes.

There are two types of Network Licenses for Education: Lab and Site Licenses. Both include a Maintenance and Support Subscription (which includes upgrades and technical support).

		Site and Lab Licenses for universities are not available through the ExtendSim Store. You must contact Imagine That Inc. for your custom network license.

Lab License
Local Area Concurrent User, Network License

An ExtendSim Lab License can be launched over a local area network (LAN) in which all users share the same subnet. It must be installed on either individual computers that are networked together within one subnet or on one server that is on the same subnet as the computers that will access ExtendSim.

This license is purchased on a per station basis. For example, if your university's computer lab has 50 computers in it, you would purchase a 50-station Lab License. This would enable all 50 computers to access ExtendSim over the lab's LAN.

		Price is $125 per station. Minimum purchase is 5 stations.
		Lab Licenses are subject to an annual renewal fee of $25 per station (maximum $500). The renewal fee is due on the anniversary date of purchase. Renewal entitles the lab to continued technical support and upgrades. (Policy on late or lapsed Maintenance.)
		Online documentation is included. Printed manuals may be purchased separately at a cost of $15 for the User Guide for students and professors.
		* Owning a Lab License entitles all students in that department to download ExtendSim LT-RunTime from the Store at a cost of $50 (a $25 discount off the already discounted price for education). Professors: Contact us for your coupon code.

The Educational Lab License may NOT be used for commercial or consulting purposes or by those who are not current students or professors. Use over multiple subnets, a wide area network (WAN), or the internet is prohibited for a Lab License.

Site License for Education
Wide Area Network License

The ExtendSim Site License for Education allows up to 100 students to access the full version of ExtendSim over the Site's server concurrently. (A "Site" is defined by where the license is installed; e.g. a School of Business is classified as a Site.)

A single central server must be used as the License Server. The university is required to regulate the license and its school/campus-wide distribution. The Site License may be used by any student or professor anywhere at the Site as long as they have access to the server. These licenses may not be checked out from the server.

		Site Licenses are priced at $5000 per server installation.
		Site Licenses are subject to an annual renewal fee of 20% of the cost of a new license at the time of renewal. The renewal fee is due on the anniversary date of purchase. (Policy on late or lapsed Maintenance.)
		Online documentation is included. Printed manuals may be purchased separately at a cost of $15 for the User Guide for students and professors.

Upgrades to new releases are offered periodically at a lesser charge than a new license to all registered ExtendSim single user licensees.

If you own a Maintenance Subscription for your academic license or own a current site or lab license, upgrades are automatically sent to the license's administrator upon the release of the new version of ExtendSim.

If you do NOT own a Maintenance Subscription or a current site or lab license, you must purchase your upgrade directly through Imagine That Inc. or your ExtendSim Distributor.

Updates are offered as a free download to all registered ExtendSim licensees. An update is a release that corrects an existing problem in the software or makes functional adjustments to its features.

ExtendSim LT-RunTime is a limited version of ExtendSim that has more saving and printing capability than the Demo version and allows you to run models of any size for an unspecified time period. It is designed for:

	Students building small (75 blocks or less) models for classwork.
	Potential customers who are evaluating the ExtendSim line of products and need more capability than the free Demo version.
	Customers who don’t have ExtendSim but want to use models built by others.

The LT-RunTime application has many capabilities. For example, you can:

	Explore the features and capabilities of the four ExtendSim products (ExtendSim Suite, ExtendSim AT, ExtendSim OR, and ExtendSim CP)
	Build and save small models (75 blocks or less), or make changes to existing small models (75 blocks or less), for a limited time (180 days).
	Run models of any size, change parameters, view simulation results, and save the changes. This capability does not expire.
	Create new blocks and save them in libraries.
	Print model worksheets, block dialogs, and so forth.

However, there are some limitations:

	The models you build are limited to a maximum of 75 blocks.
	The model-building capability expires 180 days after installation. (Note: model-running capability does not expire.)
	You may not use scripting or ActiveX automation to run or construct a model
	There is no upgrade path and technical support is limited to installation questions.

LT-RunTime example models

When you launch the LT-RunTime, the file Demo.mox is automatically opened. This file contains a selection of sample models for each ExtendSim product, a description of the model, and descriptions of the ExtendSim products. To open other models, use the File > Open command. Example models are designed to help you evaluate ExtendSim. With them you can:

	Learn about ExtendSim capabilities such as 3D animation, linking to internal databases for data storage and management, optimization, hierarchy, built-in authoring environment, activity-based costing, and interacting with Microsoft Office and other applications.
	Determine which ExtendSim product is right for you: ExtendSim Suite, ExtendSim AT, ExtendSim OR, or ExtendSim CP.

LT-RunTime License Agreement

The ExtendSim LT-RunTime is licensed for your personal use on a single computer. It is covered by a License Agreement that restricts its use, deployment, and distribution. Among other restrictions, unless you have obtained the prior written consent of Imagine That Inc. you may not allow others to access the use or functionality of the ExtendSim LT-RunTime, nor include the LT-RunTime on a CD or any other media. The Demo is a limited version of ExtendSim designed for those want to:

	Evaluate the ExtendSim line of products
	Run models built by others

The ExtendSim Demo is available as a free download. It includes a limited version of ExtendSim featuring all four products, plus manuals in .pdf format and example models that illustrate ExtendSim capabilities.

While you cannot print or save with this non-expiring Demo, you can:

	Explore the features and capabilities of the four ExtendSim products (ExtendSim Suite, ExtendSim AT, ExtendSim OR, and ExtendSim CP)
	Use it as a Player to run models of any size and view simulation results
	Build (but not save) small models (75 blocks or less)
	Change (but not save) parameters in any size model
	Add or remove blocks and change connection lines in existing small models (75 blocks or less; additions and changes are not saved)*
	Create new blocks and save them in libraries
*	Full versions of the ExtendSim products allow you to build models of any size, save changes to existing models and save the models themselves, print model worksheets, and use scripting to automatically construct a model.

Although the following capabilities are available in the full version, with the Demo you cannot:

	Save models you build
	Save changes to existing models
	Print model worksheets
	Use scripting or ActiveX automation to run or construct a model
