Adopt ExtendSim as THE simulation tool for your institution

Becoming an ExtendSim Adopter offers educators at accredited institutions the opportunity to teach simulation utilizing the full capabilities of ExtendSim — at no charge. After all, it only makes sense for schools to give students a competitive edge by teaching with the same products they will use once they graduate. Once approved as an ExtendSim Adopter, the approved department receives:

		An ExtendSim Academic Network License at no charge. (Like the ExtendSim Network license, the ExtendSim Academic Network License deploys full functionality of the ExtendSim Suite tool to users on a network, but is limited to non-commercial use.)
		An incredible 75% discount on the limited version of ExtendSim ("ExtendSim LT") for students' non-networked use. Adopter students may download LT from the ExtendSim Store for just $25. Note: This 75% discount on downloads of the LT is only available to students in North America.

Accredited institutions where the primary focus is on educating students are eligible to apply for ExtendSim Adopter status. Institutions that support external systems, such as technology institutes, non- or for-profit hospitals, for-profit schools, for-profit labs, or think tanks, are not eligible for Adopter status.

Use of the Academic Network License and access to Adopter discounts on ExtendSim LT is restricted to the college/department using the license for teaching purposes and have been approved ExtendSim Adopters. This license is not to be used for commercial purposes, such as research that is subsidized by a private or government enterprise.* Only currently enrolled students and professors within that college/department are authorized to use the Academic Network License. Adopter status is granted on an annual basis so approved Adopters must reapply annually to maintain the distinction.

If you choose to not become an ExtendSim Adopter, do not meet the above requirements, or cannot adhere to the 8 requirements to maintain your Adopter status, you may still qualify to purchase Academic Network Licenses at the cost of $125/seat with a minimum purchase of a 5-station license. There is a $25/seat annual renewal associated with this license as well.

Note: If your university is outside of the US, Canada, or Mexico, please contact Imagine That Inc. to see if the Adopter program is available in your country.

*Projects are typically considered non-commercial if the simulation results are made publicly available. If some type of financial benefit results from simulation, fairly, you should pay market value. Academic software may not be used for commercial, professional, commercial training, or other for-profit purposes. Such uses are in violation of the ExtendSim License Agreement and could affect your status as an Adopter.

Requirements to become an ExtendSim Adopter
Confirm agreement of each requirement by checking box to its left. You must be able to adhere to all 8 requirements to become an Adopter. If any of these requirements are not permissable by your university's policy, please submit a thorough explanation and we can consider an alternative.

Should you be approved as an ExtendSim Adopter, your College/Department agrees to:
1 - Use the Academic Network License granted for teaching purposes.
2 - Its use will be restricted to the college/department that has been approved as ExtendSim Adopters and only allow currently enrolled students and professors of that college/department to access the license.
3 - Ensure the license will not be used for commercial purposes, such as research that is subsidized by a private or government enterprise or for consulting.
4 - Provide a copy of the syllabus for each course in which you intend to use ExtendSim. Syllabus must show how you intend to use ExtendSim in the course/s or refers to ExtendSim as the preferred simulation tool for your college/department. Once you click Submit, you will have the option to upload your syllabus to our Educational Development Department. Or email the syllabus directly to academic@ExtendSim.com. Your application will be rejected if the syllabus is not submitted within 3 days of application submittal.
5 - Promote the use of ExtendSim in your college/department by placing a logo with link to http://www.ExtendSim.com on your web site.
6 - Acknowledge use of the ExtendSim simulation tool in any documents or results that are published and contact Imagine That Inc. to notify them of their publication.
7 - Allow Imagine That Inc. to link to your Department site and utilize published information, results, and/or course summaries acquired as a result of Adopter benefits.
8 - At the end of each semester, a brief summarization as to how ExtendSim was used in each course and the benefits attained through its use is mandatory. This summarization should be emailed to academic@ExtendSim.com with 30 days of course completion.
